New Oxford institute to study and strengthen charities

The world’s first academic institute to study charity is to be established at the University of Oxford. Plans for the Oxford Institute of Charity were prompted by the collapse in 2015 of the children’s charity Kids Company amid claims of mismanagement and questions about its performance. It will look at ways in which the leadership, governance and impact of charities can be strengthened.
