A law graduate of Exeter University, Jonathan has over 30 years’ director level experience.

A former Business Ambassador, working with HRH Prince of Wales at Business in the Community, he created and led the Social Purpose function at Woodford Investment Management from 2014-19. At Woodford, he developed and implemented an energetic multi-million pound charitable programme which focussed on core-costs support – “supporting the business of charity” – and developed links with well over 200 charities.

The core cost question triggered Jonathan’s wider interest in the issue of system improvement. Together with Sir Stephen Bubb, he co-founded Charity Futures – the organization behind the Oxford Institute of Charity – and served as its first Chair.

Jonathan is the co-founder and a director of Skylark Works, an Oxford University spin-out social venture delivering practical business support to organisations with positive social impact at their heart.
